3.12 ENGINE OPERATING STATES
The Engine Operating State is determined by the Ground
Module. There are four different Engine Operating States
which include;
• Engine Stopped
• Engine Cranking
• Engine Starting
• Engine Running
ENGINE
STOPPED
ENGINE
RUNNING
ENGINE
CRANKING
ENGINE
STARTING
(RPM greater than 800 for 1/4 second)
(RPM greater than
800 for 1/4 second)
(RPM = 0 for 1/2 second)
(RPM = 0 for 1/2 second)
(Engine RPM = 0)
(RPM greater than 800 for 1/4 second)
(Engine Starter Not Engaged
& Engine RPM greater than 0)
(Engine Starter Engaged
& Engine RPM greater than 0)
